Painful Sty
by
Lorelei on Feb.09, 2009, under Health Matters, Health and Personal Care, Personal
My fifth day of having a sty. And another day out of the office..:(
I won’t say that this is unusual to me because as far as my family members (and me) can remember I’ve the same painful sty last year just about the same season. Though I’m not really sure of last year’s cause, now I’m pretty sure it has something to do with stress. Rushing on editing our whole year photos for two days is kind of stressful especially if you’re rushing for the Printing Exhibit, which only happens once a year.
Now, my right eye is still kindly swollen and it really hurts especially if touched. It’s itchy.. It’s red.. And it’s just not normal.. But I’d say that it’s better than yesterday. So, thanks to Cloxacillin and Maxitrol! Hehehe..

Because Enzo had a high fever for two days, I decided to do some research on what options do i have in lowering a high temperature. Of course, there are things which are very well known to us like taking medicines, drinking lots of water, plenty of rest and using cold towels as a fast-acting remedy to fever. But do you know that aside from TLC (tender loving and care).. Egg Whites by far is the best remedy in lowering a high temperature?

I noticed that Enzo (my 2-year old son) has chapped lips. Well, it’s still cold lately and it’s no surprised that he’s having it. But what can I do? What kind of lip cream/ointment should I use on him? Is vaseline a safe choice? Or is there another option?

Last week, I’ve shared some secrets to a shiny hair, and to make your hair look really beautiful there are some anti-shine habits you must break.
Here’s some:
1. Harsh towel drying tends to “rough up” hair cuticles which cuts light reflection. You can still do it - just be gentle, as if handling a precious fiber. Do not over do it!
2. Brushing wet strands to detangle. Instead, stick with a wide-toothed comb to prevent breakage. If you still have time before you’re really have to go out, try to buy some time before brushing your hair. It helps if it’s a bit dry.
