How Typhoon Ondoy Trashed Our Car

by Lorelei on Oct.04, 2009, under blogging

I was so ready to come home to our house in Village East, Cainta three days after Typhoon Ondoy hit the Philippines, to see the aftermath of it myself. But, a lot of areas were still not passable and another typhoon named Pepeng was about to hit Luzon at that time. Only this day when me and my best-friend decided to go and check out what happened.

In my other entry, Tropical Storm ‘Ondoy’ Flooded Our House in Cainta, Rizal, I mentioned about my brother’s red car. By the time Ondoy hit Cainta, the car was parked outside the house. Who knows what’s gonna happen next, right? Well, it’s been washed out by the flood. Only after a few days when it was brought back by my other brother who found it nearly 2 kilometers from the house…

And, in this condition…

Our car isn’t brand new when my brother bought it. It’s just actually for me & my sister-in-law to play with, you know… Something we can use for our driving practice whenever we are in Cainta…

But I never really had the chance to drive it. I don’t know about my sister-in-law… It’s always my brother who use this car… for groceries, errands, malling, etc… It’s been very useful for us, really…

And then there was Ondoy…

Kawawa talaga yung mga nabiktima ng Typhoon Ondoy, buti na lang at medyo naka-recover na tayo ngayon. ~
